In the beginning...
The Opaline Outpost began as research for my young-adult science-fiction novel, Unsung Odes.. What started with questions about
its world and characters quickly expanded into memory, technology, aging, identity, storytelling, and the many ways people make meaning from change. The research outgrew the book—and became a place to gather and share the fascinating threads I kept finding.
