I’m Liana Meyer.
I’m a writer and communications strategist with 20+ years of experience helping organizations explain complicated, high-stakes issues clearly and credibly. My background spans U.S. government public affairs, international development, and AI governance—work where public trust, reputation, accuracy, and disciplined messaging really matter.
Along the way, I’ve led editorial strategy, shaped brand voice and messaging frameworks, and worked closely with researchers, technical experts, and senior leaders to turn complex ideas into communication people can understand, trust, and act on.
In 2025, my career turned into a different direction.
Through a variety of personal projects, I began researching and collecting questions about memory, technology, aging, storytelling, and what makes us human. I discovered a fascination for lore -- the stories we inherit, repeat, reshape, lose, and rediscover...memory made communal. That fascination turned into my writing of a sci-fi novel. It's currently a work in progress with seemingly endless research.
That research has turned into a collection of publications and resources that I not only decided to make public, but to create a community of curious creators. My aim is to help these creators connect with one another and forge partnerships to grow their audiences in meaningful and organic ways.
The Opaline Outpost is where those threads come together: a story-world, resource hub, and community for curious people following the strange signals that connect them.
